Cat’s Tricks

Sunday, April 16th, 2006 | Author: Axel

Hello dear cat lovers,

today I wanted to talk about my flat again. This morning I started to feed the male cat food opener with heavy caressing… that means I played shawl for him. You cannot imagine how he enjoyed it. He was lying the absolutely quietly and stroked me without interruption. He was here all week and always in bed, so I joined him, as he was ill and needed consolation. But today he sat with the two-legged female playing at the computer and did not take notice of me, therefore I had to prove who is in charge of deciding the occupation of the flat’s inhabitants! They had equipped the kitchen corner with scratching pads nearly to the top of the room. Well, then I first brought sown the dog food and then the dry cat food. What am I a great climber for!. Then they went into bed… that was exactly what I wanted. Take care my friends and always make a beautiful arched back!

News from Linus

Friday, March 24th, 2006 | Author: Axel

Hi Fans,

I have arrived… well, I have been around for quite some time, but I have decided to adopt my sleeping cycles a bit to those of my two hosts. Therefore I appear much more often during day time and start to play only after sunrise. Well it is good for them that time is changing during the weekend.

The roof garden is awesome, though I did not find out yet, how my buddy always passes the fence, but I hope they will install jumping aids in the form of flowerpots soon. Today I already saw some people from far, they probably would think it ok, if I visited them.

I also got much more used to the many visitors, they all like it if I jump into their lap and let them stroke me. I also have shown the day dog by some light hits with my pawn who is the master here. Well, together with my buddy. He escapes into the attic during daytime, that is interesting for me, but I like to use his absence to be fondled by the two legged being. I already have taught here to get up when I drink water from the vase and to turn on the tap in the kitchen, because I like fresh water.

Recently the two “two-legged” ones were really excited when I laid down between them in the bed to sleep. Maybe they should think of a larger bed as I need as much space as my buddy and they themselves. Well, I’ll train them over the time…

Ciao bellos i bellas!!!

Friendship

Saturday, March 11th, 2006 | Author: Axel

Considering that both 2-year-old tomcats only know each other since two weeks they seem to be getting along well with each other, don’t they?

Hi Cat Lovers

Tuesday, March 07th, 2006 | Author: Axel

Just wanted to tell you how I tricked everybody….just did not appear when the veterinary wanted to pinch me…. I still think that my tin openers should not have that many visitors. If only both of them are present, I care for them day and night!!! Using them when chasing, call them, manage to be fed at 5:30, give them intensive movements by using the litter box, well, they get a 24-hour care. Others would have to accept low paid jobs for this.

Today for the first time I was allowed out on the terrace… seems to become a good summer, but I still felt intensively watched when I was outside. Well, everything still is slippery and full of snow… but my buddy obviously has trained them better. I will manage at some stage. At least they now see me permanently unless visitors are around. Some have called me a phantom cat already, they should stay over night…

Today I had visitors from my old home. Nadine and Manuela were here, they help clean the appartment. They cleaned my intermediate stop, that is the guests-come-flight-hide-cave, that is the kitchen furniture. And perfidiously they have totally messed up the order I had created there. To better pass the different parts of the cupboard I had moved some tins and other irrelevant stuff under the cupboard. My new mother was really surprised how much there still was in store. I only meant well, of course. I introduced my buddy to the busy helpers, my buddy who has become much more trusting towards strangers than me. Well, some time in the future we will be rather similar.

Good bye soon… Your Linus

Hello Fans

Friday, March 03rd, 2006 | Author: Axel

Well, the last nights I made it clear, that I am responsible for the rhythm of sleeping, playing and eating. Only one tin opener is here, so it is easy. During daytime we have this other big being, with for legs, Lara….

Yesterday I managed to create some hectic atmosphere. I did it this way: On the upper kitchen cupboard there is a gap to let the air out, which I jumped down. Then I was trapped.. But making appropriate signals made the tin opener come and freed me, as she had to remove stuff with wire and lots of moaning, stuff, which had fallen down years ago. She made me a way which I used to hide at the other side of the kitchen, of course under the furniture and not visible to anybody. There was lots of shouting, calling, but I did not react, not at once!! After a couple of hours my buddy was sent in my direction and Lara had to stay clear, then I agreed to a health inspection. Goodness, I am a cat… nothing does happen to me.

This night at around 3 am I have proven again how well I am, the sleeping tin opener is very useful as a hilly obstacle when chasing happily around the flat. Smokie is also having lots of fun, as much that he more or less has given up his softie behaviour to cuddle with humans.

Cat paws of all countries, unite! We are only strong united! See you soon!!!

My New Home

Monday, February 27th, 2006 | Author: Axel

Well, I am Linus and now live with Hannaxel. With my former tin openers the smallest suddenly developed an allergy against me, and as a friend was sought for Smokie, I now moved in here. Hannaxel wanted to take a picture of me at once, but I refused and found a comfortable spot under the baithing tub… One know how to soften the tin openers. And tonight I proved why I am also known as Osama Bin Laden. They though they had a terrorist, now they have two… My new buddy first showed me the trick with the vase… this is well worth for getting on their nerves. I am more of a climbing cat, i.e. I already left my traces where Smokie never went before, for example on the kitchen cupboard. I will explain to him during the next nights. And this morning came Lara, well I will have her in my grasp soon as I was grown up with a Golden Retriever. Otherwise my people have to learn that I love dry food best, what they really do not like. Well, with time I will train them… I will see how long the stay firm. You can see me below already, I have the feeling it will be rather stressfree here. Until soon, fans!!!

Welcome Linus

Since friday our family has grown with the arrival of Linus, a tom cat of nearly two years (being more or less the same age as Smokie). Unfortunately he could not stay in his old family because of a case of cat allergy.

For the time being he has occupied th bathroom, spent nearly 40 hours under the bathing tub (now his other favourite spot is the space behind the washing machine). Smokie again and again eyed him curiously and tried to get him to play, not at all hostile. Slowly Linus starts to explore the apartment, and it sounded as if both had extensive chases across the flat last night. When Linus has had enough, he returns to his safe spots in the bathroom.

Smokie of course still owns the flat. During the weekend again he had a special experience: it was snowing and Smokie was chasing snowflakes on the terrace trying to catch them on the jump.

our cat had learnt to climb the roof watch us and the birds from up there. I still have a strange feeling in my stomach watching him climb up the rooftiles.
